Children from infancy to Grade 6 take part in Children’s Chapel, a pull out service from our family worship at 10:30 a.m. Worship and learning become one as a mini Episcopal liturgy is delivered in an age-appropriate context. Child care leaders bring our youngest ones up to Chapel as well. Participants join their families after the sermon for Communion.
At 9:30 a.m., we offer a 45 minute session for elementary aged children called The Active Gospel. It’s super fun and Scripture centered. The theme for January is Generosity!
St. Paul’s is an active, service-centered community. We believe that we must put our faith into action. From the suburb of Oakwood, where the church building resides, to the larger city of Dayton: a place we all call home. And then on to the mountains of Tennessee where we work every summer, to our partner community of Sablino, Russia, where we continue to lead in development and renewal. Love knows no boundaries. Let us be the church in the world! Current outreach opportunities include: Canterbury Court, Dayton Episcopal Clothing Room, Dayton Episcopal Food Pantry, Mountain T.O.P., and MVERN.
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.— Hebrews 13:2
