Fr. Dan is a priest and theological educator. Ordained to the priesthood by the Rt. Rev. Eugene Sutton, Bishop of Maryland, Fr. Dan came to St. Paul’s after serving as the Episcopal Chaplain to the College of William & Mary and as an Associate Priest at Bruton Parish in Williamsburg, VA. He holds a PhD in Theology from the Catholic University of American, and teaches for the General Theological Seminary, located in Manhattan, NYC, and for the University of Dayton, and prior to his time at William & Mary was on faculty at Loyola University Maryland. His favorite class to teach is Theology & Children’s Literature. Dan has been married to Kate since 2001, and together they have four sons. They garden, raise chickens, and dogs, and cats, and, most recently, a turtle, and they love to hike and mountain bike as a family. As a priest, Fr. Dan enjoys spiritual direction & pastoral care (“because relationships are the best part of the job!”), formation (especially with young people), music & worship, and, of course, education. He aspires to go on pilgrimage to England (again), and the Holy Land, and would love to take St. Paul’s with him.
